The FRIENDS project aims to Further International Relations Capacities and Intercultural Engagement to Nurture Campus Diversity and to Support Internationalization and Home (Improving Capacity of International Relations and Collaborative Relationships to Protective Care – others at School to Support International Homegrown). The FRIENDS project was built around the concept of Internationalization and Home (IaH) to change the traditional perception of internationalization in the five countries involved in the project: Bhutan, Cambodia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. IaH’s belief is based on the assumption that, for many reasons, the largest portion of the student body remains stationary, thus losing access to global knowledge and skills
